Part of the "Lunatics' Club" debate series, which presents an interesting and varied offer on current scientific themes in order to promote the meeting and debate on science and society. With the participation of Pere Puigdomènech, from the - CSIC Institute of Molecular Biology.
The Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona is organising debates to talk about science, emulating the scientific talks which took place on the nights of the full moon (the most "illuminated" of all) in the 18th century, and which were attended by the grandfather of Charles R. Darwin, Erasmus Darwin and a group of friends, to talk about science and themes which affect humanity. These meetings are taken up again in the museum, and deal with current scientific themes with the aim of promoting debate and comparing opinions. How is this ambitious project being created? The talk starts with a brief conference given by an expert in the subject matter, who then opens up a debate among those attending; a way of experiencing science in a participative manner.
