Juan Alberto Belloch will speak about the Ebro as a link between Catalonia and Aragon at the Casa Catalana in Zaragoza

 

On the 30th March at the Casa Catalana in Zaragoza, the city mayor, Juan Alberto Belloch, will announce a conference about the Ebro as a link between Catalonia and Aragon as part of the events for the organisation's 43rd anniversary. Before this, the mayor will act as the master of ceremonies at the proclamation of the 'pubilles' or festival queens for 2006.

Other events scheduled round the anniversary are:
- An exhibition of the work of the artist García Iglesias, from April 7th - 21st, at the centre.
- 2nd Exhibition of Direct Art, April 23rd and 24th, coinciding with the celebration of the Day of the Book
- Taking part in the Towns and Cultures Fair, May 19th
- Procession with the 'Grallers' from Bellpuig, 20th May
- Exhibition "Live Sculpture", with the artists Ramon Ruiz, Jordi Florensa and Josep A. Ferrer, May 20th and 21st
- 'Sardanes' (Catalan national dance) with the dance group from the Col·legi Pare Manyanet from Reus, May 21st
- 'Esbart Maig' performance from the Cercle Català in Madrid, May 21st

Recognition of the Brazilian-Catalan Business Club association
The Generalitat of Catalonia's official gazette (Diari Oficial), has published today, March 28th, the Decision of the Department of Governance and Public Administration to officially recognise as a Catalan community abroad the Brazilian-Catalan Business Club association (Club Brasileiro-Català de Negocis).

The Brazilian-Catalan Business Club association, led by Josep M. Buades, was born out of the desire to promote trade relations between Catalonia and Brazil.
