Professor Marta Estrada



Research Professor within the Higher Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) since 1984. Scientific collaborating member of CSIC in the period 1972-1984. Acting Deputy Professor of the Deprtment of Ecology, University of Barcelona, 1970-1972. Doctor of Biology, University of Barcelona, 1976. Biology Graduate, University of Barcelona, 1968, and in Medicine and Surgery in the same University in 1970.

Has been Senior Researcher in different projects, Spanish representative in diverse international projects and member of many national and international commissions and working groups. Her major field of activities is Oceanography, specialized in the ecology of marine phytoplankton. Author of over 100 publications, half of them in international journals and director of 8 doctoral theses.
