The Tarragona Rest and Holiday City is situated 4 kilometres from the city centre, and 200 metres away from the Llarga beach. It is an area surrounded by pine trees and gardens, equipped with various amenities.
The accommodation zone, located in a natural setting, offers double rooms with or without a lounge, with a bath or shower, a television and a fridge. The services building has a restaurant, bar, hall for events, dance hall, and the 'little rooms' (workshops, games etc.).
Another facility is the Nature Study Project, an educational and environment-conservation project, with activities for schoolchildren aged from 7 to 14. Further information is available on the Leisure-Time Residences section on the Department's website.

Leisure-Time Residences
Any worker, whether active or retired. Workers' families can also enjoy holidays/leisure time, at prices that are below market levels.
If you ask for your residence award to be cancelled, how much of your payment is refunded depends on how much notice you give, though the amount you paid for reserving your place is deducted; the refund rate is as follows:
- With 30 days' notice or more: 100%
- from 29 to 15 days' notice: 75%
- Less than 15 days: 50%
If the cancellation affects only some of the places awarded, part of your payment on account proportional to the number of places cancelled is refunded to you.
If the cancellation is made within the residence-award period, no refund is made for unused places.
However, when the cancellation is made for reasons beyond your control, the public authority in charge may agree to refund some or even all the money paid in by the beneficiaries.
If the cancellation results in the minimum take-up for the room concerned not being reached, all the places applied for will be cancelled.
No pets are allowed in the a Leisure-Time Residences, except guide dogs.
