TheCultural Tourism Club is a programme of marketing assistance developed by Turisme de Catalunya to promote Cultural Tourism in close cooperation with companies, organisations and bodies engaged in this sector of the tourist industry, which must comply with the requirements for membership established by the Club itself.

By cultural tourism we understand tourist activities that lead visitors to discover Catalonia’s Cultural Heritage. Cultural tourism resources include the following:

• Museums and cultural centres.
• Archaeological, architectural, monumental, artistic and historic heritage.
• Fine art: painting, sculpture, crafts.
• Performing arts: music, theatre, film, dance, festivals.
• Intangible heritage: traditional, popular and religious festivities.
• Special events.
• Cultural routes.

The Cultural Tourism Club is formed by:

• Travel agencies and reservation centres specialising in Cultural Tourism.
• Hotels and accommodation services offering cultural tourism activities locally.
• Cultural associations.
• Museums and foundations.
• Companies offering cultural services and activities.
• Official bodies.
